There are single detached homes on the south side of Eglinton but the density is housed in the groups of high rise apartments on the exterior streets and towards the north. An overwhelming majority of people live alone. Though there are not many children in the area those that do reside there are mostly between the ages of six and fourteen. Most residents speak English but there are many Farsi, Spanish and Russian speaking households.
