More information about St Charles Market
St Charles Market located at 135 Barrette Street is a new development by Modbox currently under construction in Ottawa's Beechwood neighbourhood. This low-rise building will contain 38 condominium units. St Charles Market is being built on a historic site wrapped around the St. Charles Church (1908). The church closed its doors in 2011. With architecture by Ottawa firm, Linebox Studio, the development will feature modern townhomes and stacked condo residences. Composed of both residential and commercial spaces, the property will include residences, workplaces, restaurants and a seasonal marketplace. The project's goal is to create an intimate village-within-a-village. For more than 100 years this site has been a gathering place for many communities. The former church with its landmark bell tower will remain at the heart of this development. The interior of the church has been restored to accommodate a year-round market which features many local vendors as well as cafes and restaurants. There is a beautiful public space outside of the market consisting of a sculpture garden, seasonal al fresco market, patios, and public seating areas. This will ensure the area remains a unique gathering place for local communities.
Condos for sale at St Charles Market range in size from 906 sq to 3,929 sq and are priced from $443,900 to over $3,000,000. Amenities in St Charles Market will include a fitness studio, yoga room, golf bay, kids play area, outdoor bbq, outdoor lounge and dining area and saunas. Underground parking and storage lockers are available for purchase with most units.
