Glen Cairn is a neighbourhood in Kanata South in the west end of Ottawa.  The community was developed in the 1960's.  Glen Cairn is located north of the Trans Canada trail, south of Hazeldean Rd, west of Eagleson Rd and east of Terry Fox Dr.  Castlefrank Rd is the principal road travelling through the community.

Demographics

Glen Cairn is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Kanata and was established by Bill Teron. The community is almost all English speaking. Most homes were built between 1965 and 1984. It is a family friendly community which is also home to many seniors.

Glen Cairn has lots of green space, biking and walking paths, baseball diamonds, and outdoor rinks for its active residents. There is a running track beside the AY Jackson High School which is one of Kanata's oldest High Schools.
