Courtland Park is a sub-neighborhood of Carleton Heights in the west end of Ottawa. Its boundaries are Dynes Rd to the south, Baseline Rd on the north, Fisher Ave on the west side and on the East is the Rideau River. Prince of Wales Dr runs through the center of Courtland Park. This neighbuorhood was developed after World War II until the 1960s. This neighbourhood was comprised of many ‘vet houses’ in the neighbourhood. Many of these ‘vet houses’ have been torn down to build newer more expensive infill homes. The neighbourhood contains mixed housing comprised of single family detached homes, row homes, and apartment or condominium buildings.

Demographics

Courtland Park is a very diverse neighbourhood. Its inhabitants are middle-aged to older suburban families. Residents tend to be Baby Boomes and Gen-Xers who emigrated to Canada between 1960 and 1990. A majority of residents in this neighbourhood are foreign born. Courtland Park has a population of roughly 2,800 residents.
