What to Expect

King is a township in York Region north of Toronto, with the Greater Toronto Area. Known for its horse and cattle farms, the rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine are the most prominent geographical feature of King. Ontario's “vegetable basket”, the Holland Marsh, is also part of this predominantly rural area. Due to low population density, public transportation services are limited in York. King City GO Station is the only train station in the township. York Region Transit's services are confined to the southeastern area, and GO bus serves the King community.

King is located just one hour away from downtown Toronto. The primary employment sector in King is construction, then education. Retail establishments are often small, family run businesses, with the exception of financial services.
